Next, make sure that your freezer is cold enough. Bed bugs are actually able to survive the cold and even freezing temperatures. According to scientists, your freezer should be set at around -15-20°C.
At this temperature, the eggs are thought to die after about 4 days. That being said, it’s probably best to leave the item in your freezer for at least a week. If you do this there is a greater chance that the bed bug eggs will be destroyed.
